The entrance to the treatment room at the Philippe Starck designed Fasano in Rio opens up like something from a sci-fi movie so that if you were standing just outside of it, it would remain undetected in the wood paneled wall. 

 

A menu using Lancôme products exclusively has been designed by therapist Rosiane Vanancio and includes a staggering range of body and face treatments, some to reflect the surrounding.  Energetic Rituals like the Phytotherapy use herbs from the Atlantic Forest for a cleansing and involve massotherapy (not to be confused with messotherapy) to relax muscles and unblock the flow of energy.  For those who are reluctant to slip into the infamous Rio bikinis, another anti-cellulite body treatment provides lymphatic drainage and scrub followed by a massage with a white clay mask to help re-sculpt, tone and hydrate the body.

 

Rio’s spectacular, sunny beaches and unrelenting nightlife can take a toll on the visage so the Nutrition and Reconstruction facial is a boon.  Customized to your individual needs, the facial still involved certain key components like the lymphatic drainage and reparative massage and a series of hydrating and purifying masks to rejuvenate.  While this facial is not concentrated on extractions, its various stages (and bonus neck and shoulder massage) still manage to cleanse the skin and provide that glowing look.
