CAVALIA: A Magical
Encounter Between Horse and Man
will gallop to the beachfront lot adjacent to the Santa Monica Pier.
Created by Normand Latourelle, one of the founders of Quebec’s famed
Cirque du Soleil, and directed by Érick Villeneuve, Cavalia is a
grand-scale spectacle involving acrobatics, music, projected images and
more than 69 performers, including a troupe of 37 magnificent horses
from all over the world.

in 1963 Louisiana and during the Civil Rights movement. Caroline is the
black maid of a Southern Jewish family. The son’s birth mother has
recently died and the new stepmother tries to establish a relationship
with the young boy, who already has a close connection with Caroline.
The show received 6 Tony Award nominations and is book and lyrics are
written by Tony Kushner.
