The Library Bar – Cognac, cigars & class.
Connoisseurs of fine spirits and aged cigars can satiate their extravagant cravings at the Library Bar in the Lanesborough Hotel, London. Reminiscent of the quintessential British gentleman’s club, the Library bar is adorned with rich mahogany paneling, luxurious leather club chairs, and, of course, classic drinks (you won’t find any apple martinis here).
The bar’s vintage cognac collection spans centuries and includes a Bignon dating back to 1800 for a mere £800 per glass. Also offered are a variety of Armagnacs, rare Ports, Calvados, and classic vintages of Château d’Yquem that reflect on the heritage of fine wine and spirit-making. Cigar aficionados will be enticed by the menu of pre-Castro Cuban cigars, including the ultimate Trinidad Diplomat at £500 per cigar. Don your bespoke Saville Row suit and prepare to rub shoulders with celebrities and government officials alike.
